Frequently Asked Questions
HOW DOES THE TATTOO REMOVAL SYSTEM WORK?
The tattoo removal system works via the innovative formulated cream, which is applied directly to the tattoo via a precise machine. This works in exactly the same way that the original tattoo was applied. The cream will get to work straight away, attracting and then bonding with the ink pigment. The body will then push both cream and ink to the surface where it will begin to form a scab. The scab will drop off after a few days and will take the ink with it, thus removing your tattoo.
WHAT IS IN THE CREAM?
There is nothing in the tattoo removal cream that you do not come into contact with on a daily basis. In fact, many of the ingredients can be found in our food, cosmetics and body products. For example, it contains water, magnesium oxide, zinc oxide, calcium oxide and benzoic acid, all of which are safe. There are no harmful chemicals in there that could cause damage, which may be why it has been approved by various safety organizations in the UK.
HOW MUCH CREAM IS NEEDED?
Every treatment you have will only make use of approximately 3ml of cream, and very little of that penetrates the skin. This minimizes the chance of any reaction but gets the tattoo removal done.
WILL THE REMOVAL HURT?
The removal process itself does not hurt at all, but the original application may hurt a little. As the cream is administered in the same way as a tattoo, you will feel the same discomfort, although the technology we use will minimize that somewhat.
CAN I HAVE ANOTHER TATTOO ON THE TREATED AREA?
Yes you can. Many people electing to have tattoo removal choose to have another tattoo in the same spot and face very few problems. However, this is only possible once the treatment is complete.
HOW MANY REMOVAL TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of treatments you will need for tattoo removal largely depends on the nature of the tattoo. The average number of treatments per tattoo is four, although the area undergoing treatment will need a recovery period of six weeks between treatments to ensure healing is complete.
HOW LONG ARE THE REMOVAL SESSIONS?
Each tattoo removal session will take roughly the same amount of time, but this will vary depending on how big the tattoo actually is. The average session is 35 minutes, but expect your sessions to last as long as it took to apply the tattoo in the first place.
DOES SKIN TYPE MATTER?
No. The treatment has been proven to be effective on people of all ethnic backgrounds and skin types.
WILL MY SKIN CHANGE AFTER THE TATTOO REMOVAL?
In the majority of cases no it will not. Every person opting for this form of tattoo removal will be advised on how to care for the area during the treatment. Very few people have a reaction to the cream so as long as the care guidance is followed then there should be no lasting changes, aside from the tattoo not being there!
CAN I HAVE THIS TREATMENT IF I HAVE ALREADY HAD LASER REMOVAL TREATMENT?
If you have already had laser treatment then we would need to assess your skin to give you an answer to this question. It is not always possible to treat anyone that has already had laser treatment because it can cause sub-dermal scar tissue. If the scar tissue is minimal then we can treat you with this tattoo removal system. However, a definite answer can only be given upon consultation.
WILL THIS TREATMENT WORK ON PERMANENT MAKE UP?
Yes it will. It will also work on home tattoos.
DO I HAVE TO HAVE A CONSULTATION?
Yes. We consult with everyone wanting to take advantage of the tattoo removal system. Our specialist consultants will be able to discuss your medical history, accurately assess the area for treatment and answer your questions. Please contact us to book your consultation today!
